Change the identification, document settings, and composition and copy, archive, or delete the combined article.
Updated on August 27, 2026
The record combines the identification, document settings, and included products and services for one combined article. You need access to the active administration and an active Billnado licence.
An archived combined article shows Archived next to its name. Its information remains visible and editable, but the combination is no longer active in normal article selections.
General Information
| Field | Meaning and rules |
|---|---|
| Name | The recognisable name Billnado uses in lists, article selections, and documents. |
| Sku | The internal code for the combination. |
| Category | The article category used to group and find combined articles. |
| Description | Detailed information about the combination in formatted text. |
Items and document settings
| Field or setting | Meaning and rules |
|---|---|
| Standard selling price | The proposed selling price for the entire combination. The price cannot be negative and is not recalculated automatically when you change lines. |
| Standard unit | The usual sales unit for the combination, such as package or set. |
| Import 'description' in documents | Copies the saved description when you use the combination on a document. |
| Hide lines on invoice | Prevents the individual included lines from being printed on the invoice; the combination's main line remains visible. |
The included items section contains at least one line. For each line, select a Product or Service, define its Quantity within one combination, and change its position with Move up and Move down. Add article adds a line. Delete removes a line from the combination; the only remaining line cannot be removed.
System information
Creation date shows when the combined article was created. Last update shows when the most recent change was saved. Both values are read-only.
Save and cancel
As soon as you change a field or line, Cancel and Save replace the other actions at the bottom of the page.
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Cancel | Discards the changes and restores the last saved information and lines. |
| Save | Saves the identification, document settings, and complete composition together. |
Copy, archive, and delete
These actions are only available when there are no unsaved changes.
| Action | Availability and effect |
|---|---|
| Options > Copy | Creates an active copy with the same settings and lines. Billnado adds COPY to the SKU and - COPY to the name and opens the new record. |
| Archive | Makes an active combination inactive without deleting its information. |
| Unarchive | Makes an archived combination active again. |
| Delete | Opens a double confirmation and permanently deletes the combined article. Existing quotation, order, and invoice lines remain, but are no longer linked to this record. |
Caution: deletion cannot be undone. Use Archive when you want to retain the combination or its link to the history.
Frequently asked questions
Why can I not see the copy, archive, or delete actions?
When there are unsaved changes, Billnado only shows Cancel and Save. Save or discard the changes first.
Why does the standard selling price not change when I edit a line?
The standard selling price is a separate price for the entire combination. Update it yourself when the content or quantities change.
Can I still change an archived combined article?
Yes. The record remains editable. Select Unarchive when you want to use the combination actively again.
