Manage an article category
Change the name and description of an article category or delete the category.

The category record contains the name and explanation of one article category. Changes affect the category available for products and services. You need access to the administration and an active Billnado licence.
Category information
| Field | Meaning |

| Name | The category name used in selection lists and linked article records. |
| Description | Additional formatted guidance about the category’s contents or purpose. |
Changing the name changes how the category is recognised, but does not create a new category or unlink articles.
System information
Created On shows when the category was added. Last modified on shows the time of the most recently recorded change. Both fields are read-only.
Changes and deletion
After you change a field, Reset and Save appear. Reset restores the last loaded values; Save stores the new name and description.
When there are no unsaved changes, Delete category is available. It requests double confirmation and permanently deletes the category.
Important: deletion cannot be undone from this page. Check that the category is no longer needed to organise products or services first.
