Manage email footer templates
Manage reusable email footers and identify personal, global and default templates.
Updated on September 7, 2026
An email footer template contains an email’s closing text, such as your contact details or signature. The overview shows your personal templates and the global templates of the active administration. You need access to the administration and an active Billnado licence.
Data and search
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | The recognisable internal name of the template. |
| Language | The language in which the text is written. |
| Standard | Identifies the default template within its language and availability scope. |
| Global | Indicates that the template is shared within the administration. Otherwise it is personal. |
Search by name to find a template. An empty list means no available templates match your search.
Actions
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| View | Opens the template’s text, variables and settings. |
| To delete | Deletes the template after confirmation. A default template cannot be deleted. |
| Add template | Opens the form for a new template. |
Add and choose a default
Add template opens the new template. Choose a clear name and write the text in the selected language. Choosing a language does not translate the content automatically.
In the template details, you can use Make default. A new default replaces the previous default for the same language and personal or global availability. Personal and global defaults therefore each have their own scope.
Delete
The delete action removes the template after confirmation. A default template is protected against deletion. First choose another default template for the same scope if you want to delete the old one.
Important: deletion is permanent. Check whether you still need the text for future emails.
Template changes apply to future emails. Managing templates does not send a message or change previously sent emails.
