Create a trade name

This wizard adds a trade name to your active administration. The new trade name is active but does not automatically become the default. You need access to the administration and an active Billnado licence.

Step 1: General information

Field or setting	Meaning
Name	The trade name used on documents and in communications.
Phone number	The phone number customers use to reach this trade name.
E-mail address	The contact address for this trade name.
Website	The website listed for this trade name.
Standard bank account	The existing account in your administration used for this trade name.

Step 2: Logo

Select an image or drag it into the logo box. PNG, JPEG, WebP and SVG are supported. After selection, you can replace, download or remove the image. Without an image, you create the trade name without a logo.

Step 3: General terms of sale

Select or drag a PDF containing the terms for this trade name. You can replace, download or delete the selected file. You can also continue without a file.

Step 4: Document wizard

Set the details that appear on this trade name’s documents for each section.

Trade name and contact details

Field or setting	Meaning
Name display	Chooses whether to use Trade name or Legal Name on documents.
Show trade name	Determines whether the selected name is visible on the document.
Show trade name address	Determines whether the company address appears on the document.
Show trade name VAT number	Determines whether the VAT number is included.
Show trade name registration number	Determines whether the legal entities register entry is visible.
Show trade name email	Determines whether the trade name’s email address is included.
Show trade name phone number	Determines whether the trade name’s phone number is included.
Show trade name website	Determines whether the trade name’s website is visible.
Show contact person's name	Determines whether the contact person’s name appears on the document.
Show contact person's email address	Determines whether the contact person’s email address is included.
Show contact person's phone number	Determines whether the contact person’s phone number is included.

Payments

Field or setting	Meaning
Show financial details with the trade name information	Includes bank information with the sender details so the customer can find the payment account there.
Mention selected bank in payment reference	Places the selected bank account beside the reference the customer uses for payment.
All banks mention in payment reference	Shows available bank accounts next to the payment reference so the customer can choose an account.
Show payments	Shows recorded payments on the document.
Show EPC QR code for SEPA payments	Adds payment information as a QR code where the document supports it. The setting does not itself make a payment.

Lines and VAT

Field or setting	Meaning
Show discounts?	Shows the discount on document lines.
Show unit prices for sublines?	Shows the unit price on document lines.
Show VAT for sublines?	Shows VAT per line.
Show total VAT amount?	Shows the document’s total VAT amount.
Show unused 0% VAT rates?	Includes the 0% rate in the VAT overview even if no line uses that rate.
Show unused 6% VAT rates?	Includes the 6% rate in the VAT overview even if no line uses that rate.
Show unused 12% VAT rates?	Includes the 12% rate in the VAT overview even if no line uses that rate.
Show unused 21% VAT rates?	Includes the 21% rate in the VAT overview even if no line uses that rate.

These choices determine presentation. They do not change calculated prices or VAT.

Logo

Field or setting	Meaning
Logo location	Hides the logo or places it above the company information, above the details or in the background.
Logo visibility	Controls background logo visibility between 0% and 100%. This field only appears for a background logo.

Footer

Field or setting	Meaning
Footer with legal information	Includes legal information in the document footer.
Show generation report	Shows the generation notice in the footer.
Show page numbers	Includes page numbers on the document.
System mention	Determines whether the footer names the system that created the document.

Additional information

Field or setting	Meaning
Standard text title	The heading above the additional text on the document.
Standard text	The formatted default text you want to add to documents.

Create the trade name

Choose Create trade name to save the trade name and its document settings. To use it by default, choose Make default on the new detail page.
