View and update your cash flow
See how outstanding sales and purchase invoices affect your bank balance and update payments.
Updated on August 27, 2026
The cash flow shows how outstanding sales and purchase invoices are expected to affect the balance of the active administration. You need access to that administration and an active Billnado licence.
Understand the cash flow forecast
The Cash flow forecast chart starts with the Current bank balance. This is the sum of the most recently imported balances of your PSD2-connected bank accounts. Bank accounts without an active PSD2 connection are not included.
Billnado then processes all outstanding amounts in this order:
- an outstanding sales invoice increases the projected balance on its due date;
- an outstanding purchase invoice decreases the projected balance on its scheduled payment date, or otherwise on its due date and then its document date;
- partial payments are deducted from the invoice amount;
- amounts dated before today, or without a usable date, are grouped under Expired transactions and processed first.
The chart shows the Projected balance after each group. It is a plan based on the information in Billnado and does not guarantee that a payment will actually be made or received through your bank on that date.
Outstanding documents by date
Below the chart, each date or Expired transactions group shows:
| Item | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Flow | The net effect of all documents in the group. Sales invoices count positively and purchase invoices negatively. |
| Amount after payment | The expected bank balance after Billnado has processed all groups up to and including this group. |
| Invoice number | The number used to identify the sales or purchase document. |
| Client or Supplier | The counterparty on the invoice. |
| Outstanding Amount or Amount owed | The part of the invoice that has not yet been registered as paid and is therefore included in the forecast. |
A green arrow indicates an incoming sales invoice; a red arrow indicates an outgoing purchase invoice.
View or reconcile a document
Use View to open the details page for the sales or purchase invoice.
With Reconcile, Billnado registers the full remaining amount as paid, marks the document as paid, and refreshes the cash flow. The document therefore disappears from the forecast. This action does not ask for additional confirmation on this page; use it only when the outstanding amount has actually been settled.
Show an EPC QR code for a sales invoice
For a sales invoice, EPC QR Code opens a payment code for the remaining amount. The code contains your company name and bank account and the invoice payment reference, allowing the customer to scan it with a compatible banking app.
Billnado can create the code only when the company name and IBAN are available on the invoice. Close closes the code without changing the invoice.
Schedule a purchase payment
For a purchase invoice without a scheduled payment date, Schedule Payment opens a window with an EPC QR code and Payment Date. The invoice due date is used as the initial suggestion when available.
The QR code contains the remaining amount, supplier, supplier IBAN, and payment reference. Scanning can help you prepare the transfer in your banking app; Billnado does not execute the bank payment itself.
Choose the date on which you expect the payment and use Plan. The purchase invoice moves to that date in the forecast and the projected balance is recalculated. Once a payment date has been scheduled, Schedule Payment is no longer shown on this page. Open the purchase invoice with View if you need to manage the schedule further.
Billnado can create the QR code only when the supplier name and IBAN are available on the purchase invoice. Cancel closes the window without saving a payment date.
Empty state and errors
When there are no outstanding sales or purchase invoices with a remaining amount, Billnado reports that there are no invoices to include in the cash flow. If the data or an action cannot be loaded or completed, an error message appears. Check the invoice and bank details, then try again.
