User settings
Set your language, outgoing email, performance rate and travel preferences.
Updated on September 7, 2026
User settings determine your personal preferences within the active administration. Here you manage the application language, email sending method and defaults for work performances and travel. You need access to the administration and an active Billnado licence.
Language settings
| Field or setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Language | The application’s interface language. The interface switches immediately; the choice does not translate documents or email templates you wrote yourself. |
Use Save to save the language preference. Reset also restores the previous language choice.
Outgoing email server
Server Type determines how your outgoing emails are sent.
| Field or setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Send via system | Uses the application’s sending service. |
| SMTP | Uses the email server you configure below. |
| Exchange 365 / Outlook | Uses a linked Microsoft account. |
When changing the server type, recheck the sender details and connection before saving.
Configure SMTP
| Field or setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Sender's name | The name the recipient sees on your email. |
| Sender's email address | The address from which you send the email. |
| SMTP: Username | The login name for the email server. Use the details provided by your email administrator. |
| SMTP: Password | The password for that login. The saved password is not displayed again. Enter a new password when the credentials change. |
| SMTP: Hostname | The address of the outgoing email server. |
| SMTP: Port | The port used to connect to that server. |
| Use TLS? | Determines connection security. Match this choice and the port to your provider’s requirements. |
Saving the settings does not send a test message.
Link a Microsoft account
Choose Link Microsoft account and sign in to the Microsoft window with the mailbox you want to use. Complete the requested consent. After a successful connection, Unlink Microsoft account is available. Save the settings with Save.
Unlink Microsoft account prepares removal of the connection. Link another account or choose a different sending method and save that choice. For Exchange 365 / Outlook, an account must be linked to save the settings. If consent later expires or is revoked, you can reconnect.
Document settings
| Field or setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Default service | The service proposed for new work performances. Selecting a service also copies its sales price as the default price. |
| Standard price | The proposed hourly rate for new work performances. A customer-specific price agreement may take priority on the performance. |
These preferences are starting values for new entries. Check the final service and price on the performance itself.
Travel
| Field or setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Price per mile | The default rate used to charge for travel. |
| Import trips as one line on sales invoices | Determines whether imported travel is combined on the invoice. |
Save changes
When you change something, Save and Reset appear. Saving stores your preferences and prepared email changes. Reset restores the last saved settings.
