Viewing and editing product details
Manage general product details, document settings, purchase prices, stock, rental settings, and product status.
Updated on August 26, 2026
The product page combines the commercial information, document settings, supplier prices, stock, and optional rental settings for one product. You need access to the administration and an active Billnado license.
An archived product shows Archived next to its name. Its information remains available and editable, but you must restore the product before you can register more stock.
General Information
| Field | Meaning and rules |
|---|---|
| Name | The recognizable product name Billnado uses in selections and documents. |
| Sku | The internal product code. An SKU cannot contain spaces. If you leave this field empty when saving, Billnado derives a code from the product name. |
| EAN | The product's barcode or international article number. |
| Category | The article category used to group and find products. |
| Description | Detailed product information with text formatting. Whether it is copied to new documents is determined under the document settings. |
Document
| Field or setting | Meaning and rules |
|---|---|
| Standard selling price | The selling price Billnado suggests when you add this product to a new document. The price cannot be negative. |
| Standard unit | The usual sales unit, such as item, box, or meter. |
| Import 'description' in documents | Copies the product description when you use the product on a document. |
These suggestions simplify new documents. You can still change them there when the document workflow allows it.
Purchase prices
Select Add to save a supplier-specific purchase price.

Copy, archive, and delete
These actions are only available when the product has no unsaved changes.

Frequently asked questions
Why can I not see the copy or stock registration options?
When there are unsaved changes, Billnado only shows Cancel and Save. Save or cancel the changes first. Manually record stock is also unavailable for an archived product.
Why can I not save the rental period?
An entered maximum rental period cannot be shorter than the minimum. Adjust one of the values.
Why does a removed purchase price return after reloading?
Removing it first changes only the form. Select Save to make the removal permanent.
