Create a new sales order
Create a sales order step by step with customer information, settings, and lines.
Updated on August 28, 2026
The wizard creates a sales document in the active administration. Complete the customer, document, and line steps. Billnado only saves when you finish the wizard.
Step 1: customer and references
Select Client. Billnado copies the VAT number and address to the document as a snapshot; these fields are read-only. Update the customer record first if required information is missing.
Customer Reference stores the customer's own reference. Project links the entire document to an existing project for the selected customer and only becomes available after selecting that customer.
Step 2: document information
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Date | The date printed on the document. |
| Comment | Formatted customer-facing text. |
| Enable customer portal | Makes the guest view available. |
| VAT rate | The default VAT rate for new lines. |
| Trade name | Determines the sender details and branding. |
| Internal note | Information for internal follow-up only. |
Step 3: lines and totals
Each line can contain a product, service, combined item, or free description. Quantity, Unit price, Discount, and VAT rate determine the calculated totals. Additional settings provide the base price, unit, line project, line comment, Hide on PDF, and Hide price on PDF.
Use Move up and Move down to set PDF order, Add line to add a line, and Delete to remove one. At least one line must remain. The summary shows totals excluding VAT, VAT, and including VAT.
Finish
Select Create purchase order. Billnado creates the sales order with status Draft, starts PDF generation, and opens its details. Leaving before completion creates no document.
