A trade name determines the name and document settings you use within the same administration. Use different trade names when you want different names, logos or contact details on documents. You need access to the administration and an active Billnado licence.
Data and search
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Trade name number | Identifies the trade name entry within your administration. |
| Name | The commercial name used on documents and in communications. |
| Archived | Indicates whether the trade name has been removed from active use. |
| Standard | Identifies the trade name proposed by default. |
The search bar searches by number or name. You can sort by those columns. Archived also includes archived trade names. Total shows how many trade names match your selection.
Actions
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| To look at | Opens the page with contact details, logo, terms of sale and document layout. |
| Archive | Makes an active trade name inactive. The default trade name cannot be archived. |
| Delete action | Deletes an archived trade name that is not the default, after double confirmation. |
| Add trade name | Starts creating a new trade name. |
Archive and delete
First make another active trade name the default before archiving the current default. On an archived entry, Unarchive makes the trade name active again.
Important: deletion is permanent and breaks document and work performance links with this trade name. Archive the trade name if you want to keep the entry and links.
If the list is empty, check the search text and archive filter.
