Understanding your dashboard
Read your annual result, monthly balance, cash flow and VAT overview, and identify licence and Peppol notifications.
Updated on September 7, 2026
The dashboard summarises the financial position of your active administration. The sections shown depend on your access rights. The amounts reflect the documents and payments recorded in Billnado.
Annual overview
Use the arrows beside the year to select the calendar year whose amounts you want to view.
| Amount | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Revenue | Sales invoices less sales credit notes, excluding VAT. Drafts are excluded. |
| Expenses | Purchase invoices less purchase credit notes, plus miscellaneous expenses. The ledger account determines whether a purchase counts as an expense. |
| Depreciation | Depreciation amounts for the selected year, excluding draft depreciation entries. |
| Profit | Revenue less expenses and depreciation. A negative amount indicates a loss within these recorded figures. |
The expense calculation takes the VAT-exempt small business setting into account for purchase invoices. The result is not a bank balance: an invoice may count before it is paid.
Monthly balance
The chart compares revenue, expenses, depreciation and profit by month. Use the left and right arrows to move through the months. The legend identifies each series; depreciation appears when the displayed data includes it. Point to a bar to view its amount.
Cash flow
| Amount | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Bank balance | The recorded balances of bank accounts with a bank connection. |
| Insured balance | The bank balance adjusted for outstanding sales and purchase invoices and credit notes. Recorded partial payments are deducted from the outstanding amount. |
| Expected balance | The secured balance plus work performances not yet settled, their extras and coworker fees. |
Important: Insured balance and Expected balance are calculated forecasts. They do not mean that these amounts are already in your account or that a payment has been made. Incomplete bank connections, missing documents or unrecorded payments affect the overview.
VAT
The VAT cards show the quarterly balance of recorded sales and purchase documents: VAT on sales invoices and purchase credit notes, less VAT on sales credit notes and purchase invoices. Drafts are excluded. A wide screen shows the last four quarters; a narrower screen shows the most recent quarter.
This overview does not submit a VAT return. Use it to check the data in your administration.
Notifications requiring attention
| Field or setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Expired licence | The licence needs attention. License management opens the page for managing your licence. |
| Peppol sending is blocked | You currently cannot send through Peppol. Open Peppol integration shows the settings and activation requirements. |
| Peppol receiving is off here | Sending is possible, but receiving is disabled. This may be intentional if you receive incoming invoices elsewhere. |
